Morning of School Pride - Day #1. Hundreds of School Pride Volunteers & Workers rushed out to LACES bright & early this morning to start the 7 day countdown. A sea of Yellow Shirts invaded the campus to begin tireless labor. The collaborations, cooperation and camraderie of a group of folks who don't even know each other is quite moving.
The LACES spirit is REAL and felt amongst everyone. It's one of those special, intangible moments that is rarely experienced. For that, I'm proud to be a LACES parent.
So, I strolled through the campus today observing the volunteers, producers, designers, contractors and workers putting in some serious blood, sweat, & heart for this wonderful school. It's overwhelming to see the cooperation of people change the LACES environment into a wondrous space for learning.
